CAAR is excited to host “Racism in the Media: A Community Conversation” on Sat, June 2 from 11am-2pm. Main Street Project is our partner in providing this forum for community members to come together and have conversations about racism in the media and what we can do about it.

Agenda:

  • 11:00 – 11:15    Welcome
  • 11:15 – 11:30    Icebreaker – “Describe the last time you found a positive depiction of our community in the media”
  • 11:30 – 12:30    Identifying Racism in the Media (small & large group activity)
  • 12:30 – 1:00       – Lunch Break –
  • 1:00 – 1:50       Media Advocacy Training (will offer handout)
  • 1:50 – 2:00      Close out

Location: Northwest Area Foundation – 60 Plato Blvd. East, St.Paul, MN 55107
