Strategic Visioning and Planning, Oct. 24, 7-8:30 p.m.
Lest you think CAAR went away, better think twice! We are still here and still strong. We’ve been MIA lately because we’ve been doing some real soul searching, trying to figure out how we can best help the work to rid our society of racism. We realized that it has to begin in each of us, in our families, among our friends and within our community first.
CAAR is taking us all the way back to our roots.
We are excited about Phase 2 of our work, which is to address internal racism. We know it is important to have very frank discussions about how we develop our understanding of ourselves and others and the impact that cultural and racial framing has on our entire community. Why do we think the way we do? Who taught us to think that way? These are just some of the questions we seek to answer.
Come along and help shape the future of CAAR and your community!
Join us for a strategic visioning and planning meeting where you can let us know if we are heading in the right direction and give us input on what you think the best strategy is for dismantling racism and building understanding:
